Just as flowers do, Marina has “blossomed” in the years she has been involved with Koinonia. Whether it has been through Camp Koinonia, Koinonia Retreat, Koinonia Classroom, or (her favorite!) We Adapt activities, The Koinonia Foundation has touched her life tremendously! She has had friendships bloom, independence cultivated, and found a place where she belongs!
Flowers also need the love and support from “gardeners” … Those who love and nurture along the way. Marina feels privileged to have John McNeely from The McNeely Group, and his wife Gina sponsor her in this year’s Custom Made event. Gina was Marina’s Kindergarten teacher, and has been instrumental in her development through the years. Both know that the evening is going to be fun — but it’s more than that, it represents something bigger.
Koinonia creates a place where people are celebrated exactly as they are. A place where confidence is built, friendships form, and individuals are encouraged to grow bold and strong. That kind of environment changes lives.
