Custom Made is a fashion show extravaganza spotlighting the incredible personalities and spirits of our program participants. This electrifying event celebrates our community's diversity and creativity as models strut down the runway in pieces that tell their unique stories. Beyond the glitz and glamour, "Custom Made" is a heartfelt celebration of empowerment and solidarity, uniting us in our shared commitment to inclusivity.
We formally invite you to attend The Koinonia Foundation's 3rd annual Custom Made Fashion Show! Join us as we raise $30,000 to support our 3 areas of programming:
Camps: We provide overnight camps, one session for individuals with disabilities ages 7-21 and the second session for ages 22 and older. These camps foster independence, cultivate friendship, and provide opportunities for participants in a camp setting where they get to participate in a myriad of activities such as arts and crafts, physical and recreational activities, educational classes, and so much more.
We Adapt: This program provides recreational day and evening outings that are safe and foster social and emotional growth for adults with disabilities. These activities help mitigate social isolation, improve autonomy, and further community building between participants. Programs happen 3-4 times a month and include cooking classes, sporting events, art classes, and more.
Koinonia Classroom: Our largest reaching program, currently in 8 school districts in 6 East Tennessee counties, where provide lesson plans and all needed materials to special education teachers at no cost to them. These lesson plans focus on improving the individuals’ skills in math, reading and science.
