2025 Annual Appeal

Happy Holidays from the Koinonia Foundation. As we reflect on 2025, we want to express our sincere gratitude for your support of our programs. Because of you, Koinonia didn’t just serve our community this year—we amplified it. We created more life-changing moments for individuals with disabilities, together.

Here’s what you helped make possible this year:

• Koinonia Classroom grew to reach 165 classrooms, adding 77 classrooms in the last 24 months, equipping teachers with ready-to-use lesson plans in math, reading, science, life skills, and movement that are not only educational but FUN!
• Camp Programs welcomed over 120 campers for 10 days of fun, fellowship, and belonging.
• We Adapt hosted 78 events, which is 34 more events than the previous year, giving 624 participants opportunities to laugh, move, and build lasting friendships.

That’s what happens when you give—you amplify smiles, confidence, and possibilities, just as you see in the photos included with this letter.

And now, we’re ready to amplify even more. In addition to these thriving programs, we’re growing our impact with a brand-new Health Initiative, Koinonia Strong. This program provides adaptive fitness, nutrition education, and wellness support to help participants build strength and make healthy choices that last a lifetime.

We are one of the only nonprofits in East Tennessee consistently offering educational, recreational, and wellness opportunities for individuals with disabilities. With demand rising, we must grow with it. That’s why we’ve set an ambitious goal: to raise $35,000 by year’s end to strengthen and expand all four areas of programming.

We cannot do this without you. Your gift today ensures that people with disabilities continue to have spaces where they are fully known and fully confident in being exactly who they are.
